As someone who focuses his work on resistance (and support) for change, I went to your paper on the subject. I like it as well. Very thorough exploration of reasons why people might resist. I especially appreciated that you said that resistance is normal. That may be obvious to some, and late breaking news to others. Problem is many organizations act as if resistance weren&#039;t normal. 

In my book, Beyond the Wall of Resistance (Bard Press 2010) I suggest that resistance occurs in the space between us. It&#039;s in the dance. In other words, a leader can introduce a change in a way that is almost guaranteed to evoke resistance. I find that when my own clients realize that people are resisting or supporting in reaction to something that is going on, they start to see more options for working with stakeholders.
