Work life balance often seems elusive. In fact, many people think getting balance in their lives is an unobtainable goal.
We here at Work Life Balance Tips do not subscribe to that belief. We know that everybody can have a good, effective and balanced life, full of joy. Your journey towards work life balance begins with the development of 3 essential things:
If you want to achieve a work life balance, your first step is to develop awareness. At Work Life Balance Tips, we’ll take you through the process of waking up! You’ll become aware of your surroundings, the positive aspects as well as the negative things. Cultivating awareness will in turn lead to more choice in your life.
The ability to choose is very important to human beings. Choice allows you to create the life you want. Developing effective work life balance will require you to make choices based on information about your life and your world.
By raising your awareness and increasing your choices, you will increase your ability to trust in yourself. Your life is in your hands. Once you know that you have what it takes to achieve a work life balance that works for you, you’ll trust yourself to make good choices in other areas of your life.
Together, we will explore opportunities for you to obtain Awareness, Choice and Trust (ACT). Because when you have Awareness, Choice and Trust, you’ll be able to change every aspect of your life. That’s right. You’ll have the life you want, not the life you end up with.
A Positive Approach
Sometimes it seems like we have no control over the factors that affect our work life balance. While it’s true that there are some external factors, such as political unrest, that you cannot affect (Unless you’re a politician!), you have more control than you think.
Positive Mental Attitude+ Positive Mental Action = (borrowed from a well known commercial) Impossible is Nothing!

How did you answer?
Many people find they were focused on positive thinking alone. They may believe for a few moments that the grass has miraculously been mown…all by itself, just by thinking about it! 🙂
Well done if you answered correctly by stating that the lawn still needed you to take action!! (Actually getting out the lawnmower and mowing the lawn, or perhaps Jayne acted upon her positive thoughts and advised her husband that the lawn needed to be cut) Jayne soon realised positive thinking was not enough, in this instance Jayne actually got out the mower and mowed the lawn herself 🙂
Attitude plus Action gets things done. You need to think positive so that you can carry out the required positive action.
